Adoptions are held every Saturday from
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Choice Pet Market, located at 7119 E Shea Blvd. (Southwest corner of Shea Blvd. and Scottsdale Rd.) in Scottsdale. Visit their website at www.choicepetmarket.com for additional information.
Because we are concerned with finding the most appropriate
home for our cats, kittens and dogs, our Adoption Counselors conduct
extensive interviews as part of our adoption process.
All kittens, cats, puppies and dogs are spayed or
neutered prior to adoption. Felines are tested for
FIV and FLVK. All animals have a minimum of one vaccination.

Important Information
- All cats adopted from Scottsdale Strays must live indoors
only. Arizona is a dangerous place to live, especially if you're
small and meal-sized! Outdoor cats face the threats of other
cats, dogs, coyotes, predatory birds, cars and ill-meaning
people. Even fully vaccinated cats face health hazards outdoors.
Cats can live long, happy, healthy lives indoors - the longest
on record living 36 years!
- While Scottsdale Strays makes every effort to adopt out only
healthy animals, if any animal becomes ill within a few weeks
of adoption, contact us! It will help us to control the spread
of contagious illnesses.
- Scottsdale Strays is a nonprofit charitable organization,
which means we are funded solely on donations. If you adopt
an animal, we have a legally binding, standard adoption contract
which you must read and sign, in addition to giving a donation
towards our work. Your copy of the contract serves as your
tax receipt if you wish to claim it on your taxes.
